FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) -
A Wisconsin prison inmate is accused of plotting to extort $9 million from John Menard, owner of Menards home improvement stores.

Fifty-four-year-old Kristine Flynn was charged Tuesday in Fond du Lac County with nine felonies.

The Reporter newspaper reports Flynn is currently an inmate at Taycheedah Correctional Institution.

According to the criminal complaint, Flynn crafted a plan to plant child pornography on Menard’s computer from her prison cell. She would then threaten to go to the media unless Menard paid her $9 million.

When Flynn allegedly tried to enlist help from people on the outside, they turned her in.

How does this happen? Internet access should not be a part of rehabilitation. If you are serving a prison term, why do you have internet access in your prison cell? We don’t think this happens from Sheriff Joe Arpaio at the prison in Maricopa County, Arizona.

What’s next, maids and butlers for inmates?
