Biden Gaffe: Gets Number Of Troops Killed In Afghanistan Wrong
September 3, 2012

Barack Obama went off on a tangent about Mitt Romney not mentioning Afghanistan in his speech to the RNC. A couple days later Joe Biden made a speech in Green Bay and made sure to mention Afghanistan. Obama is probably wishing he hadn’t, since Biden got the number of troops killed in that war wrong.
In Afghanistan, we have lost 1,980 fallen angels as of yesterday
Actually the number of dead in Afghanistan passed 2,000 six weeks ago, an event the media made sure to ignore, unlike when George W. Bush was president and the media gave us running body counts almost daily. And Biden wasn’t just wrong, he was absolutely certain about his wrong number.
…and I’m precise because every single one of those lives deserves to be recognized.
If every single one of them deserves to be recognized, then Joe Biden is an embarrassing failure at it. The actual toll at the end of August was 2,101. Of course, some of them died outside of Afghanistan, such as from wounds while under treatment elsewhere. Maybe Joe Biden doesn’t think they count.
Where is our esteemed media, asking how dare he get it wrong?

WUPN: Are troops killed in Afghanistan meaningless? Is the media trying to protect the democratic V.P. for not fact checking him ? If this was Paul Ryan, would it be a big story? This just shows the lack of truthfulness with the veep and the media in general. Our hearts and prayers go out to the souls of the troops V.P. Biden missed in his speech.
