August 25, 2012If you didn’t require another reminder, Friday night stamped the entire season as though it was a notary — legitimizing that there’s nothing remotely comfortable about these Tigers.
They should win. They likely, eventually, will win. But, damn, they’re going to make you sweat until the very end, aren’t they?
The offense stalled once again, losing, 2-1, to the Los Angeles Angels.
Frustration becomes more outwardly expressed. Prince Fielder rarely, if ever, openly questions balls and strikes, but he expressed his displeasure when home-plate umpire Jerry Meals punched him out looking in the sixth inning. He tried downplaying it afterward, but it was apparent that the collective lack of offensive production was gradually taking its toll on the team.
