MLB: Arizona 13, Houston 8 PHOENIX, July 21 (UPI) — Justin Upton hit a two-run homer and his bases-loaded walk in the fifth touched off a five-run inning that lifted Arizona to a 13-8 win over Houston.

MLB: Oakland 3, New York Yankees 2 OAKLAND, Calif., July 21 (UPI) — Brandon Moss singled home Yoenis Cespedes in the ninth inning Friday to lift the Oakland A’s over the New York Yankees 3-2.

MLB: San Diego 9, Colorado 5 SAN DIEGO, July 21 (UPI) — A two-run homer by Yasmani Grandal put San Diego in front for good Friday and the Padres went on to defeat Colorado 9-5.

MLB: Los Angeles Angels 6, Texas 1 ANAHEIM, Calif., July 21 (UPI) — Jered Weaver gave up a single run over seven innings to win his sixth straight start Friday, carrying the Los Angeles Angels to a 6-1 win over Texas.

MLB: Tampa Bay 4, Seattle 3 (14 innings) ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., July 21 (UPI) — A one-out double by Ben Zobrist brought home Carlos Pena in the 14th inning Friday to give the Tampa Bay Rays a 4-3 victory over Seattle.

MLB: Minnesota 2, Kansas City 1 (11 inn.) KANSAS CITY, Mo., July 20 (UPI) — Josh Willingham singled in Joe Mauer from second with nobody out in the 11th inning Friday, giving the Minnesota Twins a 2-1 win over Kansas City.

MLB: Atlanta 11, Washington 10 (11 inn.) WASHINGTON, July 20 (UPI) — An 11th-inning infield single by Paul Janish drove in Dan Uggla Friday, finishing off a night of comebacks and giving Atlanta an 11-10 win over Washington.

MLB: St. Louis 4, Chicago Cubs 1 ST. LOUIS, July 20 (UPI) — Kyle Lohse allowed a lone run and over seven innings Friday and the St. Louis Cardinals jumped in front early on their way to a 4-1 win over the Chicago Cubs.

MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers 7, N.Y. Mets 6 NEW YORK, July 20 (UPI) — Home runs by Matt Kemp and Luis Cruz lifted Los Angeles to an early four-run cushion Friday and the Dodgers held on to defeat the New York Mets 7-6.
