RIP Andrew Breitbart At 43

In Memoriam: Andrew Breitbart (1969-2012)
by Larry Solov

Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles.

Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love.
Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation:
I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, and—famously—I enjoy making enemies.

Three years ago, I was mostly a behind-the-scenes guy who linked to stuff on a very popular website. I always wondered what it would be like to enter the public realm to fight for what I believe in. I’ve lost friends, perhaps dozens. But I’ve gained hundreds, thousands—who knows?—of allies. At the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror, and I sleep very well at night.

Andrew is at rest, yet the happy warrior lives on, in each of us.

President Wants You To Stop Buying Dixie Cups, BUYCOTT Coming Again

If You Use Georgia Pacific Paper Products, Barack Obama Wants You To Turn Yourself In
Posted by Erick Erickson

Georgia-Pacific makes a lot of household paper products. Quilted Northern toilet paper, Angel Soft toilet paper, Brawny paper towels, Dixie cups, Vanity Fair napkins, etc. If you use any of them, Barack Obama wants you to report yourself to the government. No, I’m not making this up.

On twitter last night, whoever the idiot is who runs the President’s twitter feed (I assume it is not him), put up this tweet reading:

Add your name to demand that the Koch brothers make their donors public: http://OFA.BO/mfLtZX

Now, I know the President is pretty clueless about the free market system, but I did not realize he was that clueless. The Koch Brothers make their money by providing goods and services within the free market. Their donors are actually customers buying products. That’s how they got their money. And in Barack Obama’s America, it is increasingly hard to do in the private sector.

In truth, I have no doubt the President really wants to target for harassment those people contributing to political groups organized by the Koch Brothers. You are willfully naive if you think that won’t happen. Look what happened to so many who contributed to Proposition 8 in California. Look at the labor union goons who show up at people’s houses to harass them and their families.

So why in the world would the president and his administration want to kill the U S Economy? Sound like another BUYCOTT of Georgia Pacific Paper Products. Time to buy more GP products at the store.

$250 Tax Break If You Have a Mustache, Say What?

Mustache bill puts congressman in hairy situation
Feb 29 04:35 PM US/Eastern
By BEN NUCKOLS
Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) – A Republican congressman from Maryland is in a hairy situation over a proposal to give tax breaks to Americans with mustaches.
The American Mustache Institute claimed Tuesday that Rep. Roscoe Bartlett had lent his support to the `Stache Act, which calls for a tax deduction of up to $250 a year for facial hair grooming.

But Bartlett’s office said he never supported the measure. Staffers said Wednesday that they only forwarded a copy of the proposal to the House Ways & Means Committee, without the congressman’s knowledge, after receiving a media inquiry about it. That led the institute to believe Bartlett, who has long had a mustache, supported the measure.

“For the record: Roscoe is pro-stache, but he does not believe Americans should pay for people’s personal grooming decisions,” Bartlett’s chief of staff, Deborah Burrell, said in a statement.

So far, no other representatives have supported the mustache proposal.

At least one of Bartlett’s Republican primary opponents is criticizing him over the facial hair flap. The longtime incumbent faces several challengers in the 6th District, which was redrawn to include more Democratic voters.

WUPN: Was this a trick by democrats or does congress have too much time in their hands? I say a little of both.
